Abstract
In the 1920s Ilya Selvinsky coined the term corona sonetov - a crown of sonnets - which he meant to be a garland of epic sonnets allowing incidental deviation from the standard sonnet form. There is evidence that as a young man he conceived a more complex poem - an epic crown of crowns of sonnets. The paper presents the first description of the poem based on manuscripts from Selvinsky's private archive. The author analyzes surviving plans and texts of parts of the poem showing differences between the initial scheme and those sonnets that were finally written. Several sonnets are cited in full. Essential characteristics of the poem and its relation to Selvinsky's later work are specified.
